Athlete Consultation on
Cycling Integrity Steering Committee Athlete Representatives
Cycling New Zealand, together with the Cycling Integrity Steering Committee (CISC) Chairperson Hon. Kit Toogood, are consulting with athletes and the cycling community in regards to the appointment of athlete representatives for this committee.
The CISC is being established to provide oversight of Cycling New Zealand’s actions in response to the 2022 Inquiry recommendations. Further to this, the CISC will propose possible solutions, changes to policies, procedures, as necessary to give effect to the implementation of the recommendations identified in the Cycling New Zealand & High Performance Sport New Zealand Inquiry.
The CISC will comprise of five members:

The Independent Chair (Hon. Kit Toogood)

Two athlete representatives
-
A person nominated by Cycling New Zealand

A person nominated by Sport New Zealand

The Transformational Director of Cycling New Zealand (Kereyn Smith) will be an ex officio member of the CISC.
We are seeking feedback and input on two points:

The expertise, experience and qualities that cycling athletes would like to see in the athlete representatives appointed to the CISC.

Suggestions of specific people that cycling athletes would like to see considered for appointment to the two athlete representative positions on the CISC.
